Safety Grating Stair Treads
Safety Grating Stair Treads provide a strong, aesthetic, and non-slip surface for workers to walk up and down safely. The material serves as a cost-effective solution for a variety of environments, including architectural stairs and the steps of vehicles such as work trucks, semi-trucks, and trains. In the latter, their durability allows them to withstand the harsh conditions experienced on the road without loss of their integrity. In many cases, the side margin of the formed channel of the tread serves as a defined visible nosing. Welded carrier plates with pre-punched holes allow for rapid installation to stair stringers.
Types of Safety Grating Stair Treads:
• Diamond Plank Stair Treads
The serrated, open diamond matrix walking surface provides maximum slip resistance. Ideal for demanding industrial applications, Diamond Plank Stair Treads are available with two nosing options, the standard side margin or optional cast abrasive nosing.
Treads are available in carbon steel, aluminum, or stainless steel, widths ranging from 4-3/4” to 11-3/4”.
• Heavy Duty Diamond Stair Treads
The larger, heavily serrated diamond matrix and stronger material of Heavy Duty Diamond Plank combine to make the most robust safety grating stair treads.
Stair treads are available in 10 gauge carbon steel in a single 9-1/4” width.
• O Grip Stair Treads
Round debossed holes surrounded by perforated buttons provide slip resistance to the tread surface. Perforated O Grip stair treads have a side margin leading with perforated buttons that provide a defined visible nosing.
Treads are available in carbon steel, aluminum, or stainless steel, widths ranging from 5” to 12”.
• Traction-Grip Stair Treads
Hundreds of perforated buttons provide the slip resistant Traction-grip walking surface. The side margin provides a defined visible nosing that is appropriate for many applications.
Treads are available in carbon steel or aluminum, 7”, 10”, and 12” widths.
• Interlocking Stair Treads
Sole-gripping dimples embossed parallel to the slotted rungs of the interlocking plank provide durable slip resistance. Available with two nosing options, a standard side margin or the optional checker plate nosing.
Manufactured in carbon steel, widths range from 6” to 13-1/4”.
